I really enjoyed the panel with Joel, Mary Jo, Josh, Frank, and Trace. It provided a lot of insight into the history of the show, providing some tidbits I had not been aware of. For instance, more than one person said a large part of their leaving the show was due to conflicts with Jim Mallon. I'd not been aware of that sort of thing before.
It was also great to get some information on the future of their new project, Cinematic Titanic. For now it'll be online only, but they said future DVD releases are not to be ruled out.
And, of course, the live movie riffing was a treat. I was a bit surprised at first by their choice of The Wasp Woman--although it's a Roger Corman film, it's not as resolutely terrible as most of the movies they did on MST3K. Still, the monster makeup's a howler, and I'd forgotten how bad some of the acting was. They obviously did a lot of work on this one...almost every line they threw out was funny. They really made it work.
