I feel very honored to be the first poster on this new site, and I expect many good things in the movie/film community will come from the creation of this site.--Betty Jane Ferguson, Dallas Movie Geek group, North Texas Mensa Movie SIG, Dallas Movie Pre-Screenings group, and movie lover since 1952.

A Man and a Woman, Directed by Claude Lelouch

I saw A Man and a  Woman (Un Homme et une Femme) in 1966 in Austin at the Texas Theatre on the Drag. I was enchanted by the story, the screenplay, Anouk Aimee's performance, and even more by Claude LeLouch's direction in this gracefully-revealed tale.

Stunned by the beauty of the music, I purchased the original motion picture sound track and was captivated by In Our Shadow (A L'ombre De Nous) with its gentle heartbeat throughout.  I wrote down the French phonetically and fell in love with the language because of this song and this movie.  I immediately signed up for a French course, and I saw that my daughter also took French when she was old enough.  I must bring my album for him to sign!
